The Sensometric Society invites applications for
Travel Grants & Scholarships
for participation in the 18th Sensometrics meeting in Valencia, Spain in May 20-22, 2026.

Application deadline: February 28, 2026

The Sensometric Society intends to provide travel grants and/or scholarships for attendance at the 18th Sensometrics Meeting, to be held May 20 - 22, 2026 in Valencia, Spain. This application target mainly master or PhD students, as well as Early Career Researchers (ECR are defined as the persons that completed their PhD maximum 5 years ago), however it is not limited to only PhD or ECR, as persons with more expertise in the field may not be able to attend the conference without the travel grant. 

Prerequisite for application is the submission of

• an abstract to the conference (deadline: December 20, 2025), and
• an award application (deadline: February 28, 2024).

The decision about the awards will be based on both expressed need and merit. Merit will be evaluated based on quality of the abstract, its acceptance as oral or poster, and further documentation as specified in the application template. 

Travel Grants
The travel grant intends to allow a person to travel to the conference who would otherwise not be able to attend the conference. The travel grant will include reimbursement of travel and expenses up to a specified amount. Applications for the travel grant must be supported by a reasonable (and substantiated) estimate of expected travel expenses for travel and stay.

Scholarships
Meeting scholarships intend to cover the costs incurred with attending the conference. Scholarships include registration to the conference.
